The welcome log itself is pretty generic. It can be the same every time but feel free to customize it to fit the season/holidays too. The only thing you really have to watch out for is filling out the WHEN so it's monday/tuesday/wednesday/thursday/friday/etc afternoon to evening.

After you make the post, make one thread for BUSINESSES/ORGANIZATIONS. The welcoming committee subthread should be the first one underneath it.

In the welcoming committee comment, you'll have to update with a new link for the new info post. It's a generic opener but again, feel free to customize it.

It is in the middle of the street-filled area of the housing district is a grassy area holding a pavilion with benches, an open area, and a bulletin board with information on the town. On the board is a bright and colorful flyer inviting everyone to a party this week-- in fact, you've probably seen flyers like this around town, in your mailbox, or stuck to your door over the week. You probably have a lot of questions. What are you doing here? Who brought you here? What is there to do? Are any of your friends here? Maybe someone here can answer your questions. Or maybe you're just really hungry and want some free food. There is plenty of food being offered from fruits to cakes to grilled meals and more not too far from the pavilion. While everyone fills their plates, you might also notice the information tables nearby advertising for local businesses and clubs. It's a modest table surrounded by friendly looking people. There are several bowls of candy that will become emptier as the day goes by-- it looks like it's there to draw people in. They're also the very proud organizers for this party so come and thank them (or complain to them). They're here to answer any questions there might be about Holly Heights too. Primarily, it helps new characters settle in Holly Heights by greeting, answering questions, and inviting them to a monthly welcome party to meet new characters. To a lesser extent, the committee supposedly also networks with other organizations and businesses to create opportunities for other characters. The idea behind the committee is that new characters and players feel welcomed in the game. While we'll obviously be commenting around to any introductions that might come up each cycle, we're also here to help in other ways. Some players might have some trouble getting CR started whether it comes from playing an antisocial, technologically challenged character or just not having an idea for an intro post. For these types of characters, we'll offer an alternative to posting an intro in the form of an intro mingle log that all characters are invited to. There's also the fact that characters in Holly Heights will need jobs and might not know how to go about finding them. Presumably, flyers will be posted around the neighborhood, schools, and at some of the local businesses promoting a huge party for everyone. Alternatively, you can say you were invited by someone else in the game. For characters that wouldn't want to come anyway, assume the party has gotten large and festive enough to draw their attention one way or another. Every party party will feature plenty of food, lots of music, and event tables for characters to network at. All player run businesses and organizations will be invited and offered a table at the party to advertise. For this, a specific thread will be set up and it will be on the group to post information about their establishment. Here, characters can find employment or clubs to get involved with in the game. If you know a business or organization that would be interested in having a table, its advised to have links available to any info pages or roster they might have to comment to. As for everyone else, you will have the rest of the post to go wild. New and old players are encouraged to set up open threads for people to respond to. ICly, the committee would only be active for about a few hours week each month and then it would meet again to plan and host the next party. The busiest day would be the day of the party which would ICly take the entire day to set up, host, and clean after. So there's really no need to worry about the committee getting in the way of another IC job or something. Joining would be a really good idea for social characters or characters that like helping people. It can also be a good idea for anti-social characters that might need an IC obligation to go out and meet new people. Notices (like when the log is going up, or anything else relevant) will normally be sent out as private messages to character journals! Opt Outs

Fourth Wall: Gintama breaks the fourth wall all the time, so it's really possible that Kagura could mention that your character comes from an anime, video game, or whatever. Or she might have general knowledge about a character before she gets to know them. SOOOO if that's something you don't want, let me know!

General bad CR: Kagura is a brat. She CAN be violent, but mostly she'll just want to pester the shit out of your character. This could include things like invading their privacy, making things up about them, insulting them, breaking their stuff/property, all sorts of things! If you don't want any of those things, again, let me know!
